Description
The Steelmate SLC-2C is an aftermarket OEM-like Blind Spot Detection and Lane Change Assist System that detects and warns you of vehicles and objects that may not be visible in your mirrors. This greatly reduces the possibility of a fatal accident caused when overtaking or changing lanes using just a single-sensor on the rear of the vehicle and two visual displays on the dashboard that are extremely discreet and don’t compromise the look of your vehicle.

How does the Steelmate SLC-2C Lane Change Assist/Blind Spot Detection System work?
BSD (Blind Spot Detection) – Up to 8 metres: If a vehicle is detected in the blind spot when not indicating, the corresponding warning light installed on the bottom of the left/right windscreen pillar trim will solidly illuminate amber and will stay illuminated until the vehicle exits the blind spot. If a vehicle is detected in the blind spot when indicating, the corresponding warning light installed on the bottom of the left/right windscreen pillar trim will illuminate red and an audible alert will sound until the vehicle exits the blind spot.
CVW (Closing Vehicle Warning) – Up to 30 metres: When a fast approaching (closing) vehicle is detected when not indicating, the corresponding warning light installed on the bottom of the left/right windscreen pillar trim will flash amber. When a fast approaching (closing) vehicle is detected when indicating, the corresponding warning light installed on the bottom of the left/right windscreen pillar trim will flash red and an audible alert will sound.
