Important Note Regarding Parking Sensor Kits

If a parking sensor kit has been fitted and you are experiencing any problems such as constant tone or erratic readings please do a system reset by shifting the vehicle in and out of reverse 12 times, on the 12th reverse gear selection there will be no confirmation tone. Leave the vehicle in reverse until you hear the confirmation tone which should be after approx 5 seconds. The system has now been returned to factory defaults.

What Should I Do If I Have Changed My Mind?

If you have changed your mind about something you have purchased then you have 30 days to return this for a refund. The item should be unused and in a resellable condition. Refunds will be processed to your original payment method. We are unable to refund any painted parking sensor or daytime running light kits unless they have developed a problem.

What Should I Do If I Need To Return Something That Is Faulty?

In the unlikely event of your Steelmate product developing a fault, you must inform us immediately and obtain a returns number from the warranty team, you can do this either by email with Warranty in the subject line, or by telephone 01582 475677. Your product is covered by a 12 month warranty which covers replacement parts only unless the full kit needs replacing. Steelmate are not liable and will not pay any labour costs incurred during the removal and or re-installation of warranted equipment or parts. PTS400EX (DP), PTSC1 and PTS400W1 (C) kits can be registered for a free extended warranty on this page. This applies only to the end user and is non-transferable. The product must be registered within 30 days of purchasing. Once registered, the PTS400EX (DP) is covered for an additional 4 years and the PTSC1 and PTS400W1 (C) an additional 2 years. It is entirely at the company's discretion whether a repair or replacement is carried out. All returns must be accompanied by a completed warranty returns form which you will find a download link to on this page. Genuine faults occurring within the warranty period, will be processed free of charge. All non-faulty returns will be subject to an additional £5.99 + V.A.T. return postage charge. Any charges must be paid to Steelmate Automotive (UK) Ltd in full before the equipment is released back to the consumer. In the event that a consumer does not agree to pay charges for examination, repair or return postage costs of the items, the items will be quarantined for a period of three (3) months, after which they will be disposed of without further contact with the customer.

We appreciate that on occasions it is inconvenient to be without your equipment whilst undergoing our returns procedures. In the event that replacement equipment is requested to be dispatched prior to our receipt and processing at our premises, we will make a full charge for the equipment, including postage & packing costs. Upon receipt and examination of the returned goods, if they are found to be genuinely faulty, a refund will be processed immediately.
