What should I do if I have changed my mind?
If you have changed your mind about something you have purchased then you have 30 days to return this for a refund. The item should be unused and in a resellable condition. Refunds will be processed to your original payment method. We are unable to refund any painted parking sensor kits unless they have developed a problem. All returns must be accompanied with a copy of your original invoice.
How long is my product covered under warranty?
Most products are covered by a 1 year warranty which covers replacement parts only unless the full kit needs replacing. PTS400EX (DP) & PTS400EX (DP) OE front or rear parking sensor kits have an additional 4 years on top of the standard 1 year resulting in a total of 5 years warranty. PTSC1 & PTS400W1 (C) rear parking sensor kits have an additional 2 years on top of the standard 1 year resulting in a total of 3 years warranty.
What should I do if my product has developed a fault within its warranty period?
In the unlikely event of your product developing a problem you must contact our team as soon as possible. You can do this either by email warranty@steel-mate.co.uk or by telephone 01582 475677. We will help you diagnose the faulty part and it is entirely at our discretion whether a repair or replacement is carried out. Steelmate are not liable and will not pay any labour costs incurred during the removal and or re-installation of warranted equipment or parts. Should a faulty item need to be returned it must be accompanied with a copy of your original invoice.
Important Parking Assist System Information
If your Steelmate parking assist system is false alerting please perform a system factory reset.
PTS400EX (DP), PTS400EX (DP) OE & PTSC1
- Turn on the vehicles ignition
- Shift the vehicle in and out of reverse 12 times
- Leave the vehicle in reverse on the 12th time (There will be no initial sound)
- Wait approximately 5 seconds for the confirmation sound
- The system has now been returned to factory defaults
PTS400W1(C)
- Turn on the vehicles ignition
- Shift the vehicle in and out of reverse 8 times
- Leave the vehicle in reverse on the 8th time (There will be no initial sound)
- Wait approximately 5 seconds for the confirmation sound
- The system has now been returned to factory defaults

We appreciate that on occasions it is inconvenient to be without your equipment whilst undergoing our returns procedures. In the event that replacement equipment is requested to be dispatched prior to our receipt and processing at our premises, we will make a full charge for the equipment including postage & packing costs. Upon receipt and examination of the returned goods, if they are found to be genuinely faulty a full refund will be processed.
